Interior of pastry Kakboden

When you do step in to the pastry Kakboden it should feel as you step up on the cake plates and into the cream cakes. I wanted to maximize the pastry experience.

Hand blown lamps designed by Marta Dell'Anna

Interior inspired by the pastry's own cakes

Glas cabinet special designed for the pastry to display their cakes specialities

The inspiration to the interior of the pastry kakboden came from their own pastries; light and happy pastel colour. Lace as can make you think about cakepaper and carpets made in the form as one. White old tables and chairs mixed with elegant rococo sofas and tables with shapes as look like pastries. Old things and furniture make us feel safe and to get the guest to be able to relax this was very important, The materials are important, they should feel soft and fluffy as the pastries. The material I found had to be very functional and durable. I chose a stronger velvet to the sofas and cushions, in different pastel colours. To get the feeling of the velvet look really soft I needed something which gave a contrast to it. I designed hand blown lamps in  different pastries look-a-like colours. The material, glass in this gave the contrast to the velvet which was needed. The glass lamps are hanging over the tables, the guests don’t just sit on the pastries, they are also flying over them.
